Nigeria: How Patients of Other Ailments Lost Their Lives Due to COVID-19 Lockdown and Poor Health Services

Last year, when the cases of COVID-19 began to rise, Lockdown was one of the first moves made by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 to curb the increasing cases of infections.

Nigeria with a poor health system soon began to feel the impact of the pandemic as people with other medical challenges were given little or no attention.

This led to the death of some patients diagnosed with other ailments.

Gwamkat spoke with some Nigerians who suffered the effect of poor medical health care services during the first COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and files in this report.
