Adamawa to Flag-off free distribution of 3 million Malaria ITNs

Adamawa State Government will on Wednesday 14th Oct. 2020, flag -off free distribution of Insecticides treated mosquito nets (ITNs) across the twenty local government areas in the state.

The flagging off ceremony will be held at the Government House Banquet Hall, Yola, the State capital.
The Director public health in charge of Malaria Services and  a public health expert, Mr Isaac Kadalla said the exercise is in collaboration with Federal Ministry of Health, Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP).
He said the Governor of Adamawa state, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is the special guest of honour during the flagging off ceremony, the First Lady, Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri is the Net Ambassador guest and Dr Sulaiman Sa’idu Bashir, Executive Chairman, Adamawa state primary health care agency will be the Host of the occasion.
The announcement, according to him, is to serve as an open invitation to the general public that the free distribution of the ITNs is to every Household in the state.
He said there are about 3 million ITNs already been transported to all the designated warehouse in all the 21 LGAs waiting for on distribution on the 14th-15th October 2020.
