Technology: Sanusi Advocates Digital Education For Nigerian Youths –

Date:

Former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has expressed concern about Africa remaining a consumer of mobile related technologies instead of a producer, just as he suggested digital education for youths in Nigeria.
Speaking at the 2020 Kaduna Economic and Investment Summit on Tuesday, Sanusi also spoke on Nigeria’s slow pace as well as the Federal Government’s limited ability to reach development in that regard contrary to Malaysia which he cited as a case study.
Sanusi who was speaking on “Infrastructure, Industrialisation and Innovation, noted that the continent has become increasingly decoupled from technological training.
He therefore suggested the need to embark on providing the teaming youths with digital technology education for growth.
Sanusi was of the opinion that  the need for quick and low cost solutions has made the Chinese an attractive partner at the expense of other options involving more technological transfer and training.
The virtual Economic Summit featured the release of ” The Report Kaduna 2020″ by a Counsellor and Special Adviser to the governor, Jimmy Lawal which examines the steps taken to enhance State’s business environment.
The brochure also contains detailed analysis of sectors driving growth, highlights investment opportunities emerging in Kaduna State.
According to Lawal, all that is required by any prospective investor to the State can be found in the brochure.
” The government has created an enabling environment and made things easier for would-be be investors coming to the State” he said.
