Nigeria labour Congress, Kaduna State on behalf of all it’s affiliate unions and workers says it has received with shock the news of the death of His Royal Highness, Dr.Idris, the Emir of Zazzau and Chairman of Kaduna State Council of Chiefs, with total submission to the will of Allah.
The Emir died on Sunday at the age of 84.
In a statement signed by the Chairperson of the Council, Comrade Ayuba Magaji Suleiman condoled Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir Ahmed Elrufai, his cabinets, the entire Zazzau Emirate Council, State traditional council, his immediate family and the people of the state.
Comrade Ayuba Magaji Suleiman described late Emir of Zazzau, Dr. Shehu Idris as a pillar who played a positive fatherly role most especially, to the union and the state workers.
He described him as a leader not a ruler, a peace maker, bridge builder, committed and dedicated leader who served humanity for forty five years in peace with his people and governments.
The Chairperson of the Congress lamented that as the Nigeria Labour Congress mourned the loss of the longest serving traditional leaders in Kaduna State prayed that Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him highest place in paradise.
In another development, the Nigeria Labour Congress commended Kaduna State Government for declaring Wednesday this week as public holiday in his honour.
