Africa Media Development Foundation (AMDF) congratulates Didam Laah Manasseh, an erudite Nigerian broadcaster, over his selection into the 2020/2021 Kashim Ibrahim Fellowship Programme (KIF).
Didam is one of the 16 young Nigerians selected out of a pool of 1,711 applicants for the 2020/2021 Kashim Ibrahim Fellowship Programme (KIF), starting August 17, 2020.
The KIF programme seeks to develop and nurture the leadership potentials of Nigeria’s most promising young people, who will form part of a network of high potential individuals with the skills and training required for leadership positions in the public and other strategic sectors.
In line with its objective, KIF consist of four components: Work placement, where fellows will spend a year as full-time, paid assistant to senior government officials; Educational Programme, including speaker series, domestic policy trips, an international policy trip and Aspen Institute Styled quarterly seminars; Community Service projects within the Kaduna metropolis; and The consolidation of ideas which often results in enduring friendships and collaborative ventures.
Through the process, Didam has been drafted to be part of a sub-group called ‘Governors’ as he engages in KIF leadership mentoring voyage.
Didam who hails from Kaduna, North West Nigeria, holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Bayero University Kano. He is currently a Masters student in Strategic Communication at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
With over 10 years experience in broadcasting, Didam is the Head of News and Current Affairs, at Invicta 98.9 FM, Kaduna. He is also the Producer and Presenter of a flagship current affairs radio programme, ‘Bridging the Gap of Good Governance in Nigeria’.
He is a member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Chartered.I
