Zulum Approves Construction Of Another 500 Housing Units  at Ngamdu

…Orders Opening of Hospital Next Week–
Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umara Zulum, on Thursday gave an approval for the construction 500 houses in Ngamdu.
Zulum gave the approval when he paid an assessment visit to Ngamdu town.
Ngamdu, located along Maiduguri-Damaturu highway, under Kaga Local Government Area, is bordering Yobe State.
At the Ultra Modern General Hospital, Ngamdu, Governor Babagana Umara Zulum expressed displeasure over the poor maitanance of the Hospital.
Ngamdu General Hospital was one of the health centres constructed by former Governor Kashim Shettima between 2015
and 2019.
“I am highly disappointed, a local Government cannot maintain this Hospital. Inform the Commissioner of health, I want this Hospital to be equipped in one week. Let him provide everything necessary, the Hospital should start operations immediately”, Zulum said.
On his way returning to Maiduguri, Governor Zulum stopped over at Benishiekh, the headquarters of Kaga Local Government.
Zulum in response to a community request directed for the rehabilitation of all boreholes in the town. Also directed by the Governor was the reconnection of Benishiekh to the national grid.
Zulum also assured of the construction of a township road network in Benishiekh, he however explained that this depends on how soon the economy of the state improves.
