COVID-19: Kaduna Lawmakers Donate April Salary As Palliatives

Members of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Northwest Nigeria, have agreed to donate their April, 2020 salary to the state.
A statement by the Deputy Speaker, Muktar Isah Hazo said the donation is aimed at supporting the Covid-19 palliative measures including provision of more food items to the most vulnerables in the state.
The Speaker, Yusuf Zailani, according to the statement, has commended members for their sacrifice and urged the residents to keep social distance, wash their hands on running tap as well as keeping to the guide lines put in place by the Government towards curtailing the spread of the virus.
The Assembly has twenty four members.
