Industrial Training Fund has launched the InfoTech Skills Empowerment Programme with the training and Certification of seven hundred youths across the Six geo political zones of Nigeria .
The Director General of the fund, Sir Joseph Ntung Ari stated this during the graduation ceremony of the 2018 InfoTec skills empowerment programme in Kaduna, Northwest of the country.
Represented by the Kaduna Area Manager, Alhaji Yahaya Manu, Sir Joseph Ntung Ari explained that the trainees are degree holders selected and equipped with a three month intensive specialized ICT skills.
According to him, each Geo- political zone is benefiting one hundred participants.
“The training were in three categories, the Advanced Computer Networking, Networking Certification and Hardware Maintenance and Repair”. he said
He said eighty percent of the enrolled trainees passed the certification examination.
Sir Joseph Ntung Ari explained that the certification had an international recognition.
Through the InfoTech Empowerment Programme, he said , ITF would equally provide the graduation students with start up packs and tools to boost their self employability.
Sir Joseph Ntung Ari, commended President Muhammadu Buhari for supporting the ITF in the implementation of its various skills intervention and empowerment programme for the benefit of Nigerian youth.
Beneficiaries of the programme, were advised by other speakers at the occasion to take full advantage of what they have learned by impacting positively on the societies.
