The management of Jaiz Bank, led by the Managing Director, Mal. Hassan Usman, were in Maiduguri , the Borno State capital on Monday for a meeting with Governor Babagana Umara Zulum during which the relief materials comprising food and non-food items were prevented to the Governor .
Governor Zulum, during a brief presentation ceremony held at the Government House, Maiduguri, expressed his appreciation to the Bank.
“What matters is not the quantum of the materials, but the spirit behind it. We are eternally grateful to you, may Almighty Allah reward you, and may He take you back to your destinations safely”, Zulum said.
“I want to assure you that the government of Borno State will support you”, Zulum said.
Earlier in a remark, Mal. Hassan described the gesture as the Bank’s support to Borno State Government in the areas of livelihood to the internally displaced persons (IDPs). He explained that the items are , 600 bags of rice and 300 pieces of clothing materials.
The meeting was later held behind closed doors.
