Following reports of security concerns in Maiduguri on Wednesday midnight, Borno Governor, Prof Babagana Umara Zulum promptly showed up at the scene to restore and build public confidence and assess the situation .
The scene was in Damboa road around Maiduguri NNPC depot where a rocket propelled grenade was believed to have been launched by the insurgents from unknown distance and hit a house in Jiddari injuring occupants.
Government sources say members of a family were largely affected by the grenade.
Zulum immediately visited the state Specialist Hospital, Maiduguri where the injured were being admitted and directed the settlement of their medical bills.
