In response to the clarion call by the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Christians across the country on Sunday staged a walk prayer to round up the 3- day Special Prayers and Fasting for God’s intervention in the present Insecurity facing the nation.
In Abejukolo, headquarters of Omala Local Govt. Area of Kogi State, Christians from various Churches in procession , went to the palace of the traditional ruler of the area, the Ojogba, the Police station among other areas expressing their disenchantment with the present situation in Nigeria.
They were led by the Local Government CAN  Coordinator, Rev David Faruna, and his Assistant , Rev Philip U Utaji who condemned the brutal killing of Christians in the country , describing it as barbaric and unacceptable.
They called on  the APC led Government to sit up to her responsibility in providing adequate security to all the citizens irrespective of religion and tribe.
In his response, the traditional ruler (Onu Ife )called on all Christians to rise up and cry to God in prayers since the government of the day has failed to provide adequate security for the citizens.
“Government is not doing anything to stop the killings and the news keeps coming and the rate of the killings continues increasing day by day. Only prayers can save us,” he said.
Prayers were offered at the Ojogba’s palace by the Assistant Coordinator, Rev Philip U Utaji.
Earlier, during the procession at the Omala police station, Rev Daniel Abraham prayed for the peace and harmonious living  in the country.
