A Youth organization “Taraba Our Land of Heritage” has said that it is not after political party but people or persons who have good intentions for the over all development of the State.
In a release made available to newsmen in Jalingo, the Group contended that the immediate past Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Abel Peter Diah has become a Rising Sun whose time to shine has come.
According to the statement , Abel is becoming one of the most cherished politicians whose unequalled heart of kindness to humanity has been widely acknowledged that would be reciprocated by the people of the state.
A leading member of the group, Emma Mani who signed the statement , was of the opinion that Taraba State was still waiting and hungry for an emergence of a good leader, like Abel.
The statement recalled the political intecedents of the former Speaker , describing him as a Man of a good zeal for the people of Taraba State.
“We’ve been into politics and we are keenly watching the political pendulum of our dear State, having the records of every politician since 1999 to date.
“Our observation and analysis have made us to realise that Hon Abel Peter Diah has dwarfed the chat of other good politicians we have in this state.
“We discovered him a Rising Sun whose glory light has indeed come to shine with no hand able to stop or withstand his glory for the good of our people in the state.” The statement emphasized.
Mr Imani maintains that the group canvases and supports good governance, including politicians who pitched their names in the sands of time because of humanity, and that Abel happens to be one as a leader with exceptional qualities to serve humanity.
“We made our inquiries of why should Peter become a ranking member for four consecutive terms representing the Mbamnga Constituency of Sardauna Local Government, and we discovered a simple answer that he was a slave-Master for his people.
“Peter has indeed given himself as servant to render the services that humanity are in dire need of.
“As such we are going to support him,give him all the push and encouragement he needs to succeed under whichever party.” The statement added
“The group is calling on people to rally round those who are good and meant well for the State. People should shun petty sentiments of politics of religion or tribe.
“Taraba our Land of Heritage admonishes people to eschew party politics and support people who meant well for the state. irrespective of their party as the only thing that would change Taraba State for good.
“Our group is not after political party but after people or persons who have good intentions for the overall development of Taraba State”. It concludes.
