Kaduna Approves Four Industrial Sites For Sale Of Gas

Date:

Mr Lawal Jibrin, General Manger of KEPA, made the disclosure in an interview on Tuesday in Kaduna.

According to Jibrin, Gov. Nasir El-Rufai approved the four locations for gas plant operators and retailers to carry out their business.

The governor had on Jan. 7, ordered the immediate closure of all gas retail outlets located in residential areas across the state.

”The governor has approved the allocation of four industrial sites for sales of gas products at Kaduna-Zaria expressway, Ungwar Muazu, Kakuri industrial site and NNPC Junction,” he said.

The KEPA boss said that the agency would continue to sensitise gas operators and consumers to prevent any form of emergency.

“We will take necessary regulatory measures to ensure that only licensed operators dispense the commodity to consumers to ensure safe handling,” Jibrin said.

KEPA had in 2019 sealed 119 licensed and unlicensed gas outlets across the state.
