The All Progressives Congress , APC Campaign Committee for November 16 Governorship poll has been inaugurated in Olamaboro local government Area of Kogi State under the Chairmanship of Engr. Sunday Okoh.
The Deputy Governorship Candidate Chief Edward Onoja, inaugurated the committee on Sunday at the party’s Local Government Secretariat in Okpo.
He noted that the calibre of members in the committee shows the importance the party attached to the election.
A statement by the Director Media, BelloOnoja Campaign in the Local government Area, Comrade Ameh Williams quotes Chief Onoja as saying that Apc would win the polls given the achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello, in the last three years.
The GYB running mate urged the campaign Committee members, political appointees, party stalwarts and the good people of Olamaboro to “harness the attainments of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the aspirations of Olamaboro people tol ensure that their will to massively return them for a second term in office prevail”.
Onoja stated that it was in the spirit of continuous efforts to spread further development to all parts of Igalaland that Bello selected him as his running mate, noting that it was necessary for people of Olamaboro LGA and Kogi East as a whole to reciprocate the gesture by voting massively for the APC across all the wards and units.
He also used the occasion to pay special tribute to the former Governor of Kogi State, Late Prince Abubakar Audu for his service to the APC and determination to making Kogi great, saying he would be happy with the incumbent Governor for his impact on Igalaland wherever he is.
On his part, the DG BellOnoja Campaign Committee Olamaboro LGA said the committee would do its best to ensure that Apc wins the election with a large margin.
He said, with the quality of people in the committee, there was no room for failure.
“We promise that, we will make sacrifices to give it our best.” I also believe that the Governor and his Siamese twin brother have done so much in terms of delivering dividends of democracy to the people and critical infrastructure in the last three years to sustain their victory in the poll.
Earlier, the Chief Administrator , Adejoh Pexy while assuring the Deputy Governorship candidate of a landslide victory in Olamaboro LGA, admonished the committee, party exco and the people of Olamaboro to see the big picture ahead of them.
According to him, the coming of Edward Onoja is the will of God for the betterment of all. Therefore, all hands must be on deck, “we must take ownerhip to deliver in the election he added.
The member representing Olamaboro State Constituency , Anthony Bobby Ujah, while given the vote of thanks said, the people of Olamaboro LGA will reward good with good.
He expressed optimism that the APC would win Olamaboro even ahead of Okene with large margin and claim the APC leadership of the state once again.
The event was attended by all political appointees, party leaders and other supporters who declared their Unalloyed support for the reelection of Governor Yahaya Bello and chief Edward Onoja come November poll.
