Niger State Gov’s CPS Solicits Media Support

Date:

Gov. Abubakar Sani Bello

Chief Press Secretary to the Niger State Governor, in North Central Nigeria, Mrs. Mary Berje on Wednesday appealed to newsmen in the state to support her office to succeed.

Berje made the call during a meeting with the Correspondents Chapel of the state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Minna.

“I came here today to seek your support in covering government activities in a manner that will make my office to succeed.

“I believe that together with you, we will support the government to develop the state.

“Let us see how we can work together to help me to succeed,” she said.

She said that the nature of the office of the CPS made it mandatory to work together in order to get positive results.

“We can work as a team to make your job and my job easy. I don’t want us to work by assumption,” she said.

Earlier, Mr Ojo Aidoloje, the chairman, Correspondents Chapel, lauded the CPS for meeting with the chapel to chat the way forward as regards reportage of government policies and programmes.
