As another round of Polio imnunisation commences in Kaduna State, Northern Nigeria, parents are advised to ensure they make their children available for the exercise.
The exercise which began on Friday 2nd August 2019 ends on 6th and would be conducted on the streets, house to house, markets, motor parks among others.
A statement issued by the State Coordinator, Journalists Initiatives on immunization Against Polio (JAP) Kaduna State Chapter Lawal A. Dogara also appealed to parents to cooperate with the vaccinators to attend to their wards.
The statement assured that all adequate arrangements had been made for the smooth conduct of the exercise by the state government, development partners and other stakeholders.
It commended the World Health Organization for partnering with JAP to educate parents on the importance of Polio vaccination with a view to eradicating polio and other child killer diseases in Nigeria.
The statement also called on traditional rulers, community and religious leaders to continue to mobilize their people for polio immunization.
