NEITI Holds Capacity Building Workshop In Kano

A three – day Outreach and Stakeholders workshop organised for Northwest Zone by the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) and Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption (RoLAC) begins this Tuesday in Kano.

The programme is funded by the European Union and managed by the British Council, with participants drawn from government, private sector, civil society, media, development partners, legislature, professional associations and traditional rulers across the zone.

More specifically, according to the organisers, the workshop is expected to build the capacity of accountability actors and representatives of government on benefits of EITI implementation, as tools for reversing the resource curse in Nigeria.
