It was a celebration galore on Sunday as hundreds of men and women of goodwill from various denominations from within and outside Kaduna gathered at one of the fast growing Churches in the City, Landmark International Baptist Church, to share God’s goodness and faithfulness as it marks its 5th anniversary.

The celebration also featured a N50 million Fund Raising towards the acquisition of land and continuation of the church building project which the people cheerfully demonstrated to be part of what God is wonderfully doing there.

Addressing the congregation, Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Kaduna State, Rev Joseph Hayab enjoined Christians to always embrace one another and work like a family in Christ.

The Christian leader whose message centred on peace, noted that many churches today hardly progress because of lack of Peace and understanding.

“Wherever there is peace, people easily work together and overcome issues. Endeavour to work together as God’s family and also use your talent to project the church,” Hayab advised.

In an interview, the Senior Pastor of the church, Rev’d Dr Joseph Onuche expressed concern over the security situation in the country, viewing it as if there was anarchy in the land.

The Cleric therefore urged the President to, as amatter of urgency, do more to save the situation.

Rev. Onuche was worried about moves by the Federal Government to establish a Radio station solely for Fulanis and advised the President to avoid being divisive, but rather foster unity in the country.

As President, the Man of God added, he should see himself as a nationalist and a detribalised Nigerian.

Rev’d Onuche however wants Nigerians irrespective of politics, religion and tribe to be supportive of government to succeed pointing out that such success goes for all.

The Cleric who lauded the Supreme Court judgment on Zamfara electoral logjam, also commended the nation’s judiciary.

He advised the “President and his team” to always respect the rule of law, no matter who is involved for democracy to thrive.
