Nigeria: Kaduna Gubernatorial Election, El-rufa’i Re-elected

Governor Nasir El-rufa’i of Kaduna State has been re-elected for a second term in office under the All Progresives Congress, APC.

In the Gubernatorial election held on Saturday, El-rufa’i scored a total of 1,045,427 votes to beat Isa Ashiru Kudan of the main opposition party, PDP who scored 814,168 votes.

The INEC State Returning Officer, Prof Mohammed Yahuza Bello who declared the results gave the number of total valid votes at 1,889,714 while 31,515 were rejected.
