Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, on Friday night inspected the Adokiye Ameisamaka Stadium, venue of the Peoples Democratic Party primaries in Rivers State, South South of the country.
This was to ensure that the process of accreditation of delegates is conducted seamlessly during Saturday primaries to choose a presidential flag-bearer for the party.
The Speaker conducted the tour of the venue in his capacity as the chairman of the Accreditation Sub-committee of the Peoples Democratic Party presidential primaries.
Dogara said the committee is paying detailed attention to every component of the accreditation exercise because accreditation process is the bedrock of the success or failure of any election.
He also disclosed that every delegate will be required to present a valid means of identification before he or she could be accredited.
