Nigeria 2019: Northwest Inaugurates Coordinators For Buhari Presidential Election

Local government coordinators from the North West States of the country have been inaugurated in support of President Muhammadu Buhari”s Presidential bid.

Inaugurating the coordinators in Kaduna, Acting chairman of the group, Yusuf Bala Ikara, said the group was carefully selected to diligently work under the umbrella of the reputable organization in support of Buhari/Osibanjo 2019 Presidency re-election.

He said the organization was a collection of young Parliamentarians from the Northwest Geo-political zone, voluntarily resolved to wholly in support of  the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Prof. Yemi Osibanjo to continue steering the political ship of the nation come 2019.

Considering the laudable achievements of Buhari- led government, he explained, the leadership had unequivocally recorded indelible marks that remain on the sand of political history of Nigeria as landmark of resounding success in the areas of security, economy, fight against corruption and infrastructural development with consequent redemption of the hitherto soiled image of Nigeria in the comity of nation.

He added, “There is no gain saying that President Muhammadu Buhari took the leadership of Nigeria when it was almost on a brink of collapse evident in the activities of the terrorists and irreligious Boko Haram which led to the taken over fourteen (14) Local Governments and hoisted their flags in Borno State.

“The eventual spread their tentacles to other parts of the Northeast and gradually launching bomb attacks as well as suicide bombings on other parts of the Northeast the mantle of control of the Nigerian economy was battered by the government that President Buhari succeeded to the point that payment of workers salary were about to be impo to the embezzlement, bribery and other related economic and financial recklessness.

“The Nigerian economy is oil pipelines and oil bunkering by the so-called militants in the Niger Delta further subjected to agony by the recurrent vandalization and the subjection of Nigeria to security threats and the battering of its economy, coupled with the various styles of corruption which heavily led to its loss of integrity, sincerity and trust by other nations.

“Furthermore, the President Muhammadu Buhari led Administration was faced with a bad luck of drastic fall of oil price which further crippled the Nigerian economy as a result of high dependency on the oil sector as main source of revenue.”

He claimed that the Muhammad Buhari led administration has achieved in terms of touching the lives of the citizenry, adding that the administration could not achieve more than what it has so far if not for the support of Nigerians.

Despite the aforementioned obstacles encountered by the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration, he said, it was able to tackle the issue of Boko Haram to the extent of not having control over single town in the whole country and their power of bomb attacks and suicide bombings was reduced to the minimum.

Other reasons why  they voluntarily support Buhari/Osibanjo 2019 Presidency, he said include its sincerity of purpose, integrity, transparency, accountability, discipline, ethicality, trust and tolerance displayed over the years.

“Our hailing from the same geo-political zone with President Buhari, his track record of altruism and general integrity including that of his Vice President and his loyalty make us to come together as Young Parliamentarians from seven (7) states of the Northwest below the age of Forty five (45) years to support them despite the fact that we are not too young to govern,” he added.

He therefore called on the coordinators to give their unflinching support by working tirelessly towards making its basic objectives a reality.
