A training workshop on capacity building for Non Governmental and Civil Society Organisations has been held in Kaduna, Northern West Nigeria.

Organized by a resource group, Diaspora Initiative, the workshop was aimed at creating an effective organisation that would strategise towards meeting challenges and resource mobilization .

Speaking at the event, Founder of the group, #DiasporaRiseUp, Omolola Adele-Oso charged the participants to always ensure best practices and honesty in the cause of raising funds for their organizations.

Rashida Petersen, founder of DIA (Diaspora In America) FUND, an online and mobile fund raising community that connects members of the diaspora with local NGOs, urge participants to take advantage of the platform to support it organizations.

Some of the participants who spoke with AFRICA PRIME NEWS described the workshop as exciting and that it has broaden their knowledge on how to identify and mobilize resources for their organizations.
