Ahead Of Eid-Fitr: Nigeria Police in Gombe Prepares For Hitch Free Celebration

The Gombe State Police Command says it has put in place all security measures for a hitch free Eid-Fitr celebration in the state.

Commissioner of Police, Shins Tairu Olukolu gave the assurance in an interview with journalists in Gombe, northeast of the country on Monday.

“The Command has already deployed its men to strategic places as the Ramadan is coming to an end to ensure the maintenance of the existing peace in the state”.

He cautioned religious leaders on the need to check the activities of any suspected person or movement and report to the police, considering the state in the Northeast.

Olukolu however urged the public to give useful information to the police on any suspected person or movement within their vicinity.
