Nigeria Democracy Day: Dankwambo Urges Youths to Contribute To National Development

Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State, northeast Nigeria has called on youths  to contribute positively towards the development of the state and the nation in general

The Governor made the call in a statement to mark  the 2019 Democracy Day .

The Governor called on Nigerians to rededicate themselves to nation building and remain united for the growth of the country.

While tasking Nigerians on nation building which is a collective responsibility, Governor Dankwambo said people should appreciate their diversities through understanding and recognition of interest of various ethnic nationalities as well as promoting brotherhood and respect for one another.

“The commemoration of this year’s democracy and indeed all the previous years is therefore a celebration of Democracy, Political Stability and Freedom”.

While soliciting the resilience and determination of Nigerians particularly the good people of Gombe state, Dankwambo assured his administration commitment to improving the well-being of the people through the provision of socio- economic infrastructure, ensuring peace and security, law and Justice as well as providing equal opportunities and level playing ground to all,  irrespective of political or religious inclination.

He reiterated government commitment towards the protection of lives and property of the people.
