Local government workers in kaduna state, Northwest Nigeria have assured the newly elected local government chairmen of their support towards effective implementation of their programmes.
The assurance was given by the leadership of Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, kaduna state chapter at its executive meeting in Kaduna.
Speaking with newsmen after the meeting, the chairman, Caretaker Committee of the Union, Comrade Rayyanu Isayaku Turunku, said the election of the local government councils was timely as it will inject new ideas in local government administration in state.
He said that the Union would mobile workers to give their maximum support to the new councils.
Commerade Rayyanu congratulates the Kaduna State Government for the successful conduct of the local government elections, stressing that this achievement has further confirmed the good leadership quality of Governor Ahmed ElRufai.
The Chairman however charged the incoming local government councils to give priority to workers welfare to enhance better performance and partnership.
