The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kaduna State Council has frowned at what it called unwarranted Killings across the country.
It therefore tasks the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency put a stop to the Killings.
Rising from its congress on April 25 2018, the Union noted the rampant killings in Benue State particularly, the incident at the Catholic Church in Ukpor- Mbalom Community, warning that such could clearly stoking up religious conflict in the Country.
The Union, in a communique signed by the Chairman of the council, Comrade Adamu Yusuf also expressed concern over the Security situation in the Country and urged the Federal Government to overhaul the Security apparatus .
It commended the efforts of the Kaduna State Government in the provision of infrastructure especially the “remarkable improvement in the Education Sector and Road Projects.”
However, the Union enjoined the State Government to ensure equitable distribution of such Projects across the entire State so as to douse the feelings of narginalization in some quarters.
The  communique also frowned at the indiscriminate manner with which both Government and the private media organizations are laying off its members without due processes and warned that the Union will wade into such matter to protect it’s members.
Council strongly condemned the activities of some people who masquerade themselves as veteran journalists on facebook saying that they are not members of Nigeria Union of Journalists.
The meeting expressed it’s heartfelt condolences to it’s former Chairman, Andrew Fadason over the demise of his father, Mr. Aboki Fadason and pray
God to grant him, family and relations the fortitude to bear the loss.
