National Chairman, Action Democratic Party, ADP, Yabaga Yusuf, has urged Nigerians to stop lamenting over the short coming of the present administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari, rather, they should get themselves ready to vote him out come 2019 general elections.

Yusuf also urged Nigerians to come out e-mass to exercise their franchise by voting for candidates of their choice, saying that the good thing about democracy is that people have another chance to change the government if they so wish.

The ADP Chairman who was speaking with our Correspondent in an interview in Abuja , advised those who are yet to obtain their Permanent Voters Card, PVC to hurry up and get themselves registered before the election commences saying that is their only weapon.

“Look, Nigerians should stop lamenting about the failure of this present administration, let them come out enmass on the Election Day and use their votes to unseat them. I think that is the way out of this mess.”

Yusuf stated that if Nigerians allow the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to continue, the international communities will surely laugh at the generality of the people of this country, asserting that people’s inability to push them out come 2019 will amount to total weakness of the people.

“They have done it before during the former President Jonathan, so they can do it again especially now that they are very angry. You know, they were annoyed in 2015, but now they are angry, so they can do it better this time around.

“That is the beauty of democracy, the citizens have the ability to change the government if they are not satisfied with what is happening through the ballots and that is exactly what we are talking about” he said.

While reacting to questions on the killings by Fulani Herdsmen in the country, Yusuf said that for the fact that the situation is taking this long to come to an end, means “government has a hand in what have been going on.”

“Government has what it takes to check and get rid of this kind of internal problem and it is within their power to stop it in a short period of time. You cannot tell me that these so called Fulani Herdsmen can overpower the might of the Nigeria Army and other security agents. The Federal Government has been spending billions of naira to bring this crisis to an end, but it still persists.

“It is he responsibility of every Government to protect the lives and properties of its entire citizens, but if government fails in its responsibility, it should not be called government.  If Government lacks capacity to protect its citizens, then something is wrong somewhere” he said.
