A Gubernatorial Aspirant under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Mohammed Sani Bello has stated reasons for refusing to register with the All Progressives Congress, APC which he participated actively in its formation.
Rather than coining the name that would reflect every segment of the society, the APC with the word ” Progressives” was created for only Progressives in Nigeria as the name implies, he said.
Sani Bello who was speaking on a Radio Programme in Kaduna, northwest of the country on Friday, said he silently registered with the PDP and was being embraced by lovers of democracy who regard him as “the man of the moment” to salvage the State.
“As a man of the moment I believe that I can do it. Even among those who have shown interest. have the pedigree to take Kaduna State to the next level. We have the government that lacks communication between it and the people.
The impact of what the government is doing is not felt. People are tired of APC and are eagerly yearning for PDP,” he said.
Describing himself as the embodiment and champion of good governance, Sani Bello said, he hinges his leadership style on the rule of law, participatory democracy, accountability and transparency which according to him, are lacking in the APC Administration in Kaduna State.
Referring to the recent PDP ra!ly in Katsina , the Gubernatorial Aspirant noted that the enthusiasm seen there, had clearly shown that PDP is back in force to correct the wrongs by APC led Administration.
“PDP is going to eradicate hunger presently being felt across the country” he said.
Sani Bello who also spoke on the new entrant, Social Democratic Party , SDP said the party is dead on arrival pointing out that it would only help in gathering those who neither belong to PDP nor APC .
On the controversial $350 million world bank loan request by the Kaduna State government, the Aspirant who is a financial expert observed with disappointment  that people who voted the government into power were not consulted.
Half of the loan, he said, was questionably and disguisely tied to the 2018 budget for development projects.
Sani Bello praised the 3 Senators representing the State in the National Assembly for opposing the loan saying that if nothing else , that single act by the Senators ,was commendable.
On the forth coming council election in the State, Sani Bello was of the opinion that if the election was conducted free and fair, PDP would come back citing the cross-carpeting being witnessed daily from the ruling APC to PDP.
