Gombe (Nigeria)- Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria, FOMWAN, and Women’s Rights Advancement and Protection Alternative, WRAPA, have stressed the need for marriage counseling and united in the goal of advancing understanding of Islamic marriage in the Country.
The two organisations made their position known in a press statement signed by Saudatu Mahadi, secretary, Women’s Rights Advancement and Protection Alternative, WRAPA, and made available to Newsmen in Gombe northeast Nigeria said, “Now more than any time in our history, we need a marriage counseling and united in the goal of advancing our understanding of Islamic marriage”.
The organisations also commended Darut Tazkiya for Organizing conference on marriage counseling.
“We thanked the founder of the school, Prof Ibrahim Ahmad Maqary, for his avowed determination to organized such a needful conference.
“There is utmost need for a Marriage counseling committee in where the couples will be coaching, guiding and counseling on the principles of marital life.
“Having such kind of conference is highly recommended and beneficial to the entire society and at this time of trials, it is a welcome development to the entire society to have such kind of national gathering of organizations and individuals working in the area of marriage and Islamic education,” they observed.
