Describes His Purchasing of Awards and Hiring of Groups to endorse him for 2019 as a pipe dream

The Rivers State Chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed condemnation over Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike’s usual characteristic style of using any forum to disparage the person and personality of his benefactor and predecessor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as exhibited during the recent Rivers East PDP rally held in the General Yakubu Gowon Stadium wherein he ran down and rained abuses on Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to entertain his audience. Sadly in the same vein, he (Wike) did not spare the Security agencies or the statutory body that organises elections in the Country – the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as he took them to the cleaners describing them as unfit to organise any creditable election in the country.
The party condemned Wike for using such a forum to disparage his benefactor in a manner unexpected of a fellow who occupies such an exalted office of the Governor of Rivers State.
The party noted with sadness that Wike could stoop so low to boast before his audience that comprises mainly masquerades on how he blackmailed and worked with some elements in the National Assembly to frustrate Amaechi a son of Rivers State from been confirmed as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The party thanked God that the evil machinations of Wike and his collaborators against Amaechi could not see the light of the day but expressed shock that Governor Wike could confess such a heinous crime of attempting to frustrate the nomination and confirmation of Amaechi as a Minister, a crime the party says is against Rivers State before a senatorial district where the Minister is from is to us very unfortunate, wicked, callous and shameful.
“Though, we know that Wike has nothing to offer but we are more dismayed that Wike and most of the political clowns that followed him to the rally could not use the opportunity to name one single project that his administration executed in the Rivers East Senatorial zone.”
The party noted further that not minding that the Rivers East Senatorial zone comprising of eight Local Government Areas in Rivers State is the largest and most populated senatorial district in Rivers state, the Organisers of the rally even after mobilizing people from other Senatorial districts and neighbouring states still left the stadium scanty and full of masquerades.
The party expresses shock that Wike who in 2011 described Amaechi as a hero and embodiment of the development and emancipation of Rivers State could turn around during the said rally to castigate and present Amaecchi as a non performer, this according to the party positions Wike as someone that needs an immediate medical help. Rt. Hon. For Wike to blackmail INEC before the German Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr Bernhard Shlagheck when he visited him at the Government House, Port Harcourt where he stated: “INEC does not have the capacity to hold free and fair elections in the country“ forgotten that he ‘WIKE’ collaborated with INEC and Security agencies to frustrate the electorates during the 2015 general elections and rode on the blood of innocent people of Rivers State to become the Governor of Rivers State but afraid that APC will apply the same undemocratic style on him but we are not interested in using any untoward method to unseat him by 2019 rather than to ensure that the votes of Rivers State people count this time around.
The party in a press statement circulated on Monday in Port Harcourt by Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, the Media Consultant to Dr Davies Ibiamu Ikanya the State Chairman of Rivers APC to media organizations and the public alleged that “Gov Wike is blackmailing both INEC and security agencies because they are no longer ready to do his bidding is a sign that his end as the Governor of Rivers State will surely come by 2019. We are more convinced that Wike’s maladministration will come to an end now that the militants will no longer do his bidding as the Security agencies are now positioned to curtail the excesses of such a group during the 2019 elections.”
We are glad to note that Wike’s strategies of winning elections through manipulations of INEC, Security Agencies and militants will no longer be feasible based on the promise by the administration of President Buhari to ensure a free and fair election come 2019 void of any form of rigging, killings, wike’s ambition to foist himself on the people of Rivers State is as good as a pipe dream”, the party enthused.
The party finally stated that, “With the collapse of Wike’s plot to use some of his moles to destabilise the Rivers APC, the party counsels Wike to start writing his hand over note describing his latest plots of purchasing mischievous awards from Media Organisations and hiring groups to endorse him as an exercise in futility as none of these strategies will save him, from being voted out come 2019.”
