Gombe (Nigeria) – Da’awah Coordination Council of Nigeria has urged Government at all levels to find a lasting solution to security challenges facing the country.
The call is contained in a statement by Ahmad Yakubu Jumba, Secretary General of the Organisation which was made available to AFRICA PRIME NEWS in Gombe, northeast of the country.
The organisation also cautions Politicians to stop using the present situation as a political vendetta, “as more than 30 people were killed in Zamfara, but no body talking about it, unlike the response to that of Benue “
“We strongly condemned the move by some Senators adamant to enact the so-called Gender and Equal Opportunity Bill, despite the fact that it is against our religion and culture.”
DCCN also called on the Federal Government to intervene in the Hijab saga in law schools and other establishments.
“Hijab is Muslim rights and must be allowed in Law School and any other place in Nigeria”, the statement added.
