Board Chairman of Nigeria’s think tank institute, National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), retired General John Shagaya, has been reported dead.
Sources said he died in a ghastly motor accident on Sunday while returning to Jos from his hometown, Langtang.
John Shagaya was an erstwhile Senator who represented Plateau South in the National Assembly from 2007 – 2011.
He was a former ECOMOG Peacekeeping Commander in Liberia and a former Minister of Interior Under General Ibrahim Babangida administration.
His wife, Pauline Tare Philomena, died a year ago after a brief illness.
