Nigerian Police Confirms Killing Of Village Head, His Son In Gombe

Gombe (Nigeria)  –  The Gombe State Police Command, northeast of the country has confirmed the attack and killing of Daktibe Jalingo village head, in Tula Chiefdom of Gombe state, Adamu Garba and his Son by unknown Gunmen in Kaltungo Local Government Area of the state.

The State Police Commissioner, Mr. Shaina Tairu Olukolu who confirmed the incident on Wednesday while speaking with Journalist in Gombe, said investigations have commenced to arrest the suspects

The Commissioner assured people of Tula chiefdom and Daktibe Jaligo Village that Police would put more effort  to arrest those who participated in the heinous act to face the wrath of the law.

Also speaking, Paramount ruler of the Tula people, Mai Abubakar Atare Buba II, condemned the attack and killers of the Daktibe Jalingo Adamu Garba and Son.

He called on the government and security agencies to put more effort for bring the culpable persons to book.

“We Grieve with the Family of Alh. Adamu Garba the Village Head (Dagachin) of Daktibe Jalingo, who was shot and murdered in his palace, along with his son in the early hours of today by an unknown person”, he added.

Member House of Representatives Kaltungo/Shongom Constituency, Ms. Fatima Binta Bello condoled Mai Abubakar Atare Buba II and the family of late Adamu Garba village head of Daktibe Jalingo and wished their souls eternal rest.

A Tula resident who prefers anonymity confided with AFRICA PRIME NEWS that three time the gunmen attacked the Village head house and they only succeeded in the fourth attack where they killed Mr. Garba and one of his Sons.

They also injured his wife and other children who are currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital in the state.
