Gombe (Nigeria) — An All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Gombe State, northeast of the country, Abubakar Habu Mu’azu, has enjoined members of the party to obtain their Permanent Voters Card (PVC’s) to enable them exercise their franchise come 2019
Mu’azu, one of the front line Governorship hopeful in the State made the call while addressing party executives in Balanga Local Government Area at the party’s secretariat in Talase on Saturday.
.
“Your best loyalty for now is to go out and obtain your weapon (PVC) of sacking the PDP from power, because without it, there is nothing you can do”.
He also called on the party executives in the local government area to continue to hold political activities as a way of consolidating on the gains of the prevailing peace and unity in the party.
Mu’azu said there was no need for the party to continue in silence if they want to capture power from the ruling PDP in the State, hence the need to encourage them to continue to exhibit loyalty to the party.
He however said, he was not comfortable seeing the PDP continuing to deceive the people of the state when their living condition was growing from bad to worse.
According to him, “this is one of the motivating reasons I had to sink over 40 boreholes in different communities within Balanga LGA, and you don’t wait to be elected or when you are in power before you make meaningful impact on the lives of your people”
Speaking earlier, Luka Haruna a party chieftain, said the people of Gombe State must not fail to effect the change they missed in 2015 .
He stressed that APC remains the only party that can drive the wheel of positive change for Nigerians and Gombe in particular hence the need for them to queue behind Abubakar Habu Mu’azu.
In an address of welcome the Local Government party Chairman, Ali Gwangal commended Habu Mu’azu for identifying with the people of Balanga by sinking over 40 boreholes in different communities of the area.
