3 Policemen Arrested For Looting Former President Jonathan’s House

Barely 24 hours after reports emerged that some policemen standing guard at the Abuja house of former President Goodluck Jonathan, looted the building, arrest has been made..

According to PUNCH, the Police have arrested three policemen for allegedly looting the house located in Gwarimpa..

It was gathered that the policemen would soon face orderly room trial after which they would be dismissed from service for theft.

The policemen guarding the building admitted to selling some items in the house.

The items include expensive furniture, television sets, refrigerators, split air conditioners, bowler hats, designer suits and some Ijaw attire.

“The investigation into the theft is almost concluded and it is certain that the policemen involved in the case would be eased out of the service for gross misconduct. How can they steal what they were meant to protect?” a source stated.

The Federal Capital Police Command, in a statement, said it had commenced investigation into the case.

“The policemen who are supposed to be on guard duty at the house have been detained for questioning.

Investigation to find out what actually happened is currently in progress,” the statement by the police spokesman, Anjuguri Manzah, said.
