The Kaduna State Police Command, northwest Nigeria, has assured residents of its readiness to ensure a hitch free Easter festivities within the state.

The state Commissioner of Police, Agyole Abeh, pointed out that the Command had drawn an elaborate Operation Order to checkmate the activities of criminal elements, assuring that it has put in place all necessary security measures to ensure the safety of lives and property during and after the holidays.

According to him, “In view of the mapped out strategies, the Command wishes to once-again reassure the citizens of Kaduna State of its readiness to promptly respond to distress calls and decisively deal with any person or group of persons who might constitute threat to the peaceful atmosphere of the state.

“The command hereby advice parents/guardians to monitor the activity of their wards and to report any suspicious movement of persons, bags and other mysterious objects noticed in public areas to the nearest police/security formation or call police emergency numbers on: 0703-967-5856 or 0807-539-1105, Email:- pprokaduna@gmail.com Facebook:-www.facebook.com/npfkaduna Twitter:- @policengkaduna,” he noted.

Meanwhile, the Kaduna Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Mr. Francis Udoma, on Thursday said, it had deployed 1,350 marshals, 45 patrol vehicles and 14 ambulances to provide emergency services throughout the Easter celebration.

He also noted that the command would collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure accident free Easter, adding that four towing trucks and 12 motor bikes were also deployed.

While reiterating its commitment towards enlightening motorist against reckless driving, over speeding, overloading among others, the sector commander said they would not relent in the sensitization campaign until sanity was gained on the roads and motorist install speed limit device to curb speed related accidents.
