Israel and United States have concluded tests on a missile defence system, David’s Sling, a major part of Israel’s multi-tiered anti-missile array.
Israel Ministry of Defence says the interceptor missiles have a range of about 186 miles.
The system’s multi-mission radar has detected target after launch and performed all flight phases, and engaged the targets as planned, the Ministry said.
David’s Sling project is for defence against rockets and ballistic missiles.
The success of the project has positioned the country against its perceived enemies, which continued to pose threat to the nation.
Sources say, the Defence System will be put to use early April.
