On the eve of 2016 Christmas, Goska village, about 6 kilometres away from Kafanchan in southern Kaduna, northwest Nigeria was attacked by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
These pictures depict what remains of the village today.
As at the time of the attack, the whole area was under 24-hour curfew, which required every resident to remain indoors, except for the heavily armed military personnel allowed to patrol the area.
