Economy: Some Nigerian Have Made Castigating Buhari Their Pastime – Information Minister

Date:

town hall meeting Kaduna (Nigeria) – Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has said some individuals and group of persons now enjoy castigating the President Muhammadu Buhari’s led administration their pastime over the poor state of the nation’s economy which is not its making.

Mohammed stated this on Tuesday at the special town hall meeting/policy dialogue for good governance organized by the ministry in collaboration with the Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) in Abuja. The theme was, ‘Towards Effective Implementation of the 2016 Budget’.

According to him, “At a time that some individuals and groups have made it their pastime to continually castigate government over an economic situation which is not its own making, but has been working hard to mitigate, this Association has chosen instead to engage with the government.

“In other words, by their decision to hear from the government, ask questions and also make their own input, AANI has chosen to be a part of the solution, rather than to compound the challenges.

While commending the Association for it patriotism, the minister however appealed to other organizations across the country to emulate AANI by joining hands with the government to move Nigeria forward, as the task of nation building is for all not government alone.
