Kaduna Gets Biggest Poultry Farm In West Africa Worth US $150M, Lays Foundation Friday

imageKaduna (Nigeria) — Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State Friday announced the ground breaking of biggest poultry and hatchery plant in Sub Saharan Africa, worth 150million US dollars.

“You are all invited to the Special ground breaking of biggest poultry/hatchery in Sub Saharan Africa in Kaduna, which will cost 150 million US dollars and will be built by Olam.”

Announcing the breaking ceremony, after the end of the two day Kaduna Economic and Investment 2016 summit (KadInvest 2016), El-Rufai, said the Olam’s poultry project will be built in Gwagwada, Chikun Local government area, kilometre 24 Kaduna – Abuja Express way.

El-Rufai also said also announce that a tomato farming and processing company worth 10 million US dollars will be built by Aliko Dangote”.

El-Rufai explained why investors should embrace business opportunities in the state, saying Kaduna is a gateway to Northern Nigerian market with effective land management, raw material availability among others.

El-Rufai, while reading highlights of the summit position said federal government planned to partner with state to improve collection of statistics and train unemployed youths.

“Kaduna State Government is to adopt Federal Government formula for developing the solid minerals sector. A proposal for world class developers to come to Kaduna to train the youths (science oriented) on IT and development of software. Development of tourism sector”

Developing mining as a step for enhancing industrialization and job creation” El-Rufai announced the summit position.
