Kaduna (Nigeria) — General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Mechanized Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Adeniyi Oyebade Monday promised 1 million naira cash reward for anyone with useful information that could lead to the release of Colonel Samaila Inusa.

Colonel Samaila Inusa was kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Saturday around 7pm, in Kamazo, near NNPC junction in Kaduna, northwest nigeria.

It was gathered that the GOC earlier promised 500, 000 cash, for same purpose.

1 Division Army Spokesman, Colonel Abdul Usman in a telephone told AFRICA PRIME NEWS the new offer.

“We are offering 1 million naira cash to any information that will lead to his freedom. We are also assuring that such information given would be treated with utmost confidentiality,” he said.

On whether the army officer kidnappers made any financial demands for ransom, he said ” No, we have not heard anything from them,” he said.
