Kaduna (Nigeria) — A Director with Kaduna State Finance Ministry in northwest Nigeria, Aminu Sambo, has been abducted by unknown gunmen.

A source said, Sambo was kidnapped Saturday in his farm at Kangimi – a village near Kaduna.

AFRICA PRIME NEWS learnt that security agents have launched a search on the abductors.

However, a family source said the abductors were demanding a large sum of money before his release.

“I was not there, but our brother Aminu Sambo was kidnapped last saturday in his farm in Kangimi. We are praying and begging kidnappers to release him unconditionally. Sambo is gentle man to the core, who loves peace. We are pleading with kidnappers not to harm him wherever he is” said the source.

As at the time of filing this report, phone calls to the Kaduna State Police Command spokesman, Abubakar Zubairu, to comment on the incident were not answered.
