Kaduna (Nigeria) — The Senator representing Kaduna Central in Nigeria’s national assembly, Shehu Sani, has donated building materials to traders in Kasuwar Baci, who loss their goods and stalls to recent fire outbreak that consumed part of the market in Kaduna.
Sen. Sani donated 50 bags of cement, 20 roofing sheets, logs of woods and a hundred thousand Naira cash as relief materials to the victims.
Making the donation, Sen. Sani said he was deeply concerned by the need for the traders to rebuild their stalls and resumed trading immediately.
Represented by Aminu Bello Aminci, the Senator assured the traders of quality representation at the national assembly.
“Leadership is about representation and providing necessary support to those people who queued to them into office to represent them.
“Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari is working round the clock to return Nigeria to the right track, and we as lawmakers will do everything possible within the law to support him,” he said.
He further urged the traders to use the donated building materials for the
purpose they were given.
Part of a popular market, ‘Kasuwar Baci’, located along Dutsinma Street in Kaduna, northern nigeria, was razed down by fire on January 17, 2016.
Following the incidence, about 20 traders got affected, and were left with no place to sell their wares.
