Nigerian Plateau State Announce Governor’s Aides

Jos (Nigeria) – Nigeria’s Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has announced the appointment of seven officials to set the machinery of governance in the state.

The newly appointed officials include, Rufus Bature (former minority leader, Plateau State House of Assembly) as Secretary to the State Government; Mr. John Dafa’an, Chief of Staff Government House; Yusuf Gambo Hawaja, Deputy Chief of Staff Government House; Silas J. Vim, Deputy Chief of Staff, Deputy Governor’s Office.

Others are former Vice Chancellor of Plateau State University, Prof. John Wade as Director General Research; Cyril Tsenyil, Accountant General; Cletus L. Kangkum, Principal Private Secretary to the Governor and Emmanuel Nanle as Director of Press.

The appointment takes effect immediately.

The new appointments in a press statement by Permanent Secretary, Policy and General Services to the Governor, Mr. Izam A. Azi in Jos, stated that the appointments is to facilitate the activities of the new government.
