Kaduna (Nigeria) – Two suspected Boko Haram members on Sunday killed a security operative after exchanging gun fire with a team of joint security operatives in Kaduna, Northwest Nigeria.
The bloody incident occurred at a village called Ungwan Keke-B in Chikun Local Government Area of the State.
Report say a team of security personnel raided the area at about 1am on Saturday.
It was gathered that the area became saturated with gun shots that lasted hours.
According to eye witnesses, the two Boko Haram suspects whose names could not be ascertained escaped, but their wives were arrested and whisked away by the security operatives to an unknown destination.
Village Head of the area, Mallam Suleiman Mohammed confirmed to Africa Prime News that they started hearing gun shots at about 1am.
He said, team of security operatives made up of Soldiers and the State Security Service (SSS) later ordered people in the area to leave the vicinity to avoid falling victims.
Our reporter who visited the area saw blood stains of the dead security operative on the floor inside the suspects house.
Meanwhile, effort to reach Deputy Director, Army Public Relations Officer, Colonel Abdul Yusuf of the 1 Army Division Kaduna was unsuccessful, as his mobile phones could not be reached as at the time of filing the report.
