Nigeria: Jigawa NGO “Maigatari Youth Foundation” Feeds, Clothes 1,555 Almajiris At Ramadan

As this year’s Ramadan fast coming to an end, no fewer than 1,555 Almajiris were said to have been fed and clothed within the period by a non governmental organization, Maigatari Youth Foundation.

Chairman of the foundation, Malam Mukhtar Umar disclosed this in an telephone interview with our Correspondent.

According to him, this was part of their annual obligations, especially in Ramadan period where they used to host Almajiris and the vulnerables, feed and cloth them.

‘This year we classify our Almajiris Tsangaya Quaranic Education into segment’s whereby we took the pain in providing them with Iftar needed items for breaking of fast, as well feeding them at nights throughout this Ramadan period”.

He said 33 Almajiris Tsangaya School’s were selected across the local government with a total number of one thousand, five hundred and fifty five Almajiries to be feed in the last ten days of Ramadan.

Also over one hundred and fifty one orphans were identified in the area to benefit with clothes for Edil-fitir celebration.

Malam Muhammad Mukhtar commended members of the foundation, elders and other individuals for their contribution towards the success of the program.
