The presidential campaign train of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP took off from Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital on Monday towards rescuing Nigerians from hunger, poverty and insecurity.
The party’s presidential flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar made the assertion in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital where he also acknowledged the achievements of Gov. Udom Emmanuel Administration to whom he dedicated the launch of the campaign.
He noted that the party had lifted Nigeria from bottom to the top but unfortunately, now nosedived to hunger, poverty and disunity under the APC government.
To change the trend, Atiku therefore appealed to all Nigerians to vote for PDP to restore unity and prosperity as well as to end hunger and insecurity.
On his party, the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Ayu said the PDP train has taken off and enjoined every member of the family to be on board.
“Nigerians are awaiting PDP to come and rescue them from insecurity.
PDP has the solution”, he said.
Ifeanyi, the Vice Presidential Candidate says “there is a great problem in the land and PDP is determined to rescue Nigerians.
APC will lead Nigeria to doom.
“PDP is the only party that is ready to rescue and rebuild the nation.
“Atiku is a tested leader and has the experience and capacity to lead the nation”, he said.
The launch was attended by governors, party chieftains and unprecedented turn out of supporters.
