International airlines have commence flight operations from the newly-inaugurated Lagos International Airport terminal, dubbed MMIA Terminal 2.

“We are delighted to be the first airline to operate a flight at the newly commissioned MMIA Terminal 2, and going forward, all our regional and international departures will be from this new terminal,” said Stanley Olisa, spokesman of the first airline to commence operations on the new terminal.

The first flight was from Lagos-Accra at 7am by a Nigerian airline.

The airline is also the first to relocate its operations from the old terminal to the new one.

Olisa added that their perssengers had been duly notified of the movement of international and regional flight departures to the new Terminal.

“We commend the Federal Government for the feat, and we will continue to blaze the trail.

“Passengers flying to Accra, Banjul, Freetown, Douala, Dakar, Johannesburg and Dubai are henceforth expected to proceed to the new terminal for ticketing, check-in and boarding.”

Other airlines are also expected to relocate their operations to the terminal as soon as possible.
