Southern Kaduna: Community Postpones Its “IGAH-NINZO 2021 EDITION and NCDA ELECTION

 

The NINZO Community Development Association (NCDA) in collaboration with the NINZO Traditional Council in Kaduna State has announced the postponement of the earlier scheduled 2021 edition of the annual NINZO cultural festival,known as IGAH NINZO.

The NINZO apex sociocultural body also announced a shift in date for the conduct of the much awaited election into the various elective positions for the administrative council of the NCDA earlier scheduled for 3rd April 2021 at Fadan-Ninzo in SANGA Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Announcing this development in a statement, the Interim National President of the NCDA, Col David King ANTO (Rtd) explained that the postponement of the annual NINZO cultural festival slated for May this year followed the need to respect constituted Authorities by observing the Covid-19 Protocols.

He however, pointed out that a new date would soon be communicated for the conduct of the election into the various elective positions for the NCDA.

According to him, the NINZO Community Development Association will continue to work pro actively towards guaranteeing a colourful and a hitch free Cultural festival while also expressing regret of the inconveniences the action over the annual event would cause all patriotic NINZO sons and daughters, home and abroad.

The statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary of the Association, Gambo Santos Sanga also quotes Col David King ANTO as assuring that the proposed NCDA election would still hold soon after the Easter celebrations.

The National Leader of The NINZO people also prayed for peaceful Easter celebrations among Christians and non Christians across the country.
