We are excited to remind you that the 4th Africa Conference on Development Journalism (#ACDJ2020) will commence tomorrow and about 200 participants have already registered for the event, which will hold via zoom and livestreamed on www.facebook.com/ACDJPage.
In line with its theme, Emerging Technologies and Future of Development Journalism, the conference will focus on how technology is impacting on the practice of journalism, especially in Africa. Papers and discussions will highlight on emerging technologies and the direction things are gradually tilting to, including the media.
As part of the conference, we will announce and present award to the winner of 2020 AMDF Journalist of the Year Competition and the runner up.
Three finalists have already been announced, they are: Babatunde Okunola of Royal FM Ilorin (Nigeria), Gabriel Ogunjobi of The Nation Newspapers (Nigeria), and Sola Ojo of The Sun Newspapers (Nigeria).
We will also present an Honorary Lifetime Award for Journalistic Excellence to a distinguished media veteran – Mrs. Miriam Menkiti, former Deputy Director News, FRCN/General Manager, Radio Nigeria Purity FM Awka, Anambra State, for her immense contribution to Journalism in Nigeria.
